An AUT study that started in 2020 has shown in May 2020 that 1 in 9 employees suffered burnout in New Zealand. By November 2021 it had increased to 1 in 3 employees. We are currently seeing a worsening picture of health in our workforce and it is time for employers to understand the signs to look for as indicators of burnout, and how to help their employees develop strategies to recover their general health and wellbeing.
