Due to rapid growth, our client is seeking an experienced sales professional to join their team in the Wellington Branch. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to take on a dynamic and challenging role, with a strong focus on client management, project delivery, and business development.
The Territory Manager will be responsible for managing client relationships, driving sales, and overseeing the successful delivery of a variety of projects. This role offers a balance of office-based tasks and fieldwork, providing plenty of variety and the chance to work closely with both clients and a team of technical professionals. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a hands-on approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients, ensuring their needs are met throughout the sales and project delivery process.
- Lead the sales process from initial inquiry through to project completion, ensuring client requirements are understood and addressed.
- Provide technical advice to clients, helping them to visualise and plan their projects effectively.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and quality, ensuring all projects are completed to a high standard.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any challenges that arise during the sales or project delivery stages.
What you will need to be successful
- Experience in a technical, construction, or related industry.
- Strong technical understanding and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to clients.
- Experience in sales and exposure to project management preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a "can-do" attitude.
- NZ Resident or NZ Citizen.
