We are looking for an experienced and qualified HVAC/Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technician in the Bay of Plenty – is this the next move for you?
 This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems in residential, commercial and industrial buildings.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul HVAC and refrigeration equipment, including compressors, pumps, air handlers, dryers, heat exchangers, and control systems (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic).
  • Install, maintain, and repair pneumatic/electric valves, ventilation systems, pumps, and refrigeration units per specifications and diagrams.
  • Monitor gauges/instruments and adjust controls to regulate fluid pressure and system distribution.
  • Operate refrigeration recovery equipment and perform gas welding on piping as needed.
  • Conduct planned maintenance and repairs across a wide range of refrigeration systems and temperature settings.
  • Maintain detailed service records and identify equipment needing future attention.
  • Coordinate with team members to minimize customer disruption.
  • Lead projects and provide on-site problem-solving and customer support.
About you: 
  • Knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration tools, materials & test equipment. 
  • Knowledge of repair, maintenance & and installation techniques. 
  • Skill in reading & understanding schematics. 
  • Skill in analysing HVAC or refrigeration malfunctions from performance & test equipment readings & determining appropriate repairs. 
  • Strong verbal & written communication.
