Job description
Data Insights and Governance Lead
I am seeking an individual with the ability to think outside of the box and identify ways in which technology can be deployed in order to improve business operations.
Key responsibilities
In this newly created role, you will be working closely with the Head of Commercial and Finance as well as engaging with the wider business in order to get to the heart of how the organisation operates. This role is likely to grow and evolve over time however the initial remit can be split into three parts:
Data Insights: The business currently uses multiple software solutions in order to successfully deliver their services, and part of your role will be to utilise these existing technologies in order to draw business insights and provide information to support with commercial decision making. You will also look at current system usage and explore ways in which they can better integrate.
Data Governance: Another part of the role will be to set internal standards around systems usage and data policies, for example data is gathered, stored, processed, and disposed of.
Projects: This is the exciting part of the role that will grow and change over time with the initial areas of focus being around the exploration of cloud-based storage solutions and investigating ways in which AI can enhance outputs.
Qualifications and requirements
Personality is a pivotal part of this role, as is the ability to translate technical jargon into an easy-to-understand format. You will be inquisitive by nature and will have worked in a dynamic commercial environment across multiple CRM, HRIS and FMIS systems. In terms of technology knowledge, you will consider yourself an expert in Excel, SQL and Power BI.
What you will get in return
This is an excellent opportunity to take control of your learning and have a real impact on a kiwi owned and operated business. You will be paid an attractive annual salary, with the flexibility to work from home plus, a number of other company specific benefits which will be discussed upon successful application. This role will ideally be recruited on a part-time basis with a flexible working pattern however there may be potential for it to build over time.
