Category and Activation Manager

We are partnering with a leading consumer products company in the FMCG sector, seeking a highly motivated Category Manager to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with well-known beauty and personal care brands, managing product categories across major retail channels.

Key Requirements:

  • FMCG experience is essential for this role
  • A background in Marketing or Category Management is preferred
  • Must be able to start before 31st December
  • Salary: $100k - $115k, plus a 10% performance-based bonus

About the Role

As Category Manager, you will be responsible for driving growth and profitability across a range of consumer products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute category strategies, collaborate with retailers, and analyse market performance to optimize product offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing comprehensive category plans to maximize growth
  • Building strong retailer relationships and driving category performance through data analysis
  • Supporting the creation of brand activation strategies and promotional materials
  • Collaborating with supply chain teams to ensure smooth alignment of stock and activation timelines
  • Contributing to pricing and promotional strategies, using market insights to inform decision-making

About You

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
  • 3-4 years of experience in category or brand management within the FMCG sector
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to derive actionable insights from large data sets
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work across teams
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with market data platforms (e.g., IRI Unify)
  • Experience with space planning tools is a plus
