Job description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Warehouse Manager to oversee day-to-day operations at our site. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the inwards and outwards flow of goods, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety and Food Safety guidelines, and maintaining a clean and efficient work environment.

We are open to taking a Team Leader or Warehouse Supervisor who is looking to take that next step in their career, or someone more experienced who is looking for their next challenge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inwards Goods: Ensure accurate receipting, labelling, and reporting of incoming stock.
  • Order Picking: Oversee order processing, accuracy, and creation of delivery dockets.
  • Product Rotation: Manage stock rotation and ensure chillers are clean and well-organized.
  • Quality Control: Support QC inspections and maintain high product standards.
  • Repacking/Reg-grading: Ensure resources are available for product repacking as needed.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness across the site, including regular cleaning schedules and waste management.
  • Stocktake: Complete monthly stocktakes and manage packaging inventory.
  • MPI/Biosecurity: Ensure biosecurity best practices are followed and maintain MPI certifications.
  • Staff Management: Oversee warehouse staffing, scheduling, and performance, ensuring adequate coverage and staff development.
  • Health & Safety/Food Safety: Assist with health and safety and food safety program implementation and adherence.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage warehouse staff effectively.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Safety practices.
  • Experience with MPI biosecurity standards is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
