Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Clinical Psychologist, Health Psychologist, or experienced Counsellor to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential psychological support to cancer patients and their families, ensuring they receive the best possible care during their journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough psychological assessments and create tailored therapy plans.
  • Provide individual psychological therapy to help clients manage the emotional impact of cancer.
  • Facilitate therapeutic support groups for patients and families.
  • Utilize technology, including telehealth services, for client consultations.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance client support.

Qualifications:

  • Registration as a Clinical Psychologist or a Registered Psychologist with a Post Graduate Diploma in Health Psychology, or extensive experience as a Counsellor.
  • For Psychologists: At least 1 year of experience in a physical health setting, ideally in oncology or palliative care.
  • For Counsellors: 3-5 years of experience working with clients with physical health conditions.
  • Current Annual Practising Certificate and membership in a relevant professional association (e.g., NZPS).
  • Valid New Zealand Driver License.
