About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated Operating Theatre Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional perioperative care, ensuring patient safety, and supporting our surgical team in delivering high-quality outcomes. Whether you prefer full-time or part-time hours, we have flexible options to suit your lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of operating theatres and equipment.
- Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Monitor and manage patients' pre and post-operative conditions.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with a current practicing certificate.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating theatre setting in New Zealand.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Experience scrubbing for joint replacements.
- Spinal surgery experience a bonus.
