Intermediate/Senior Quantity Surveyor

A well-established Wellington-based interior services company seeking a motivated Quantity Surveyor with 2-5 years of experience, preferably in residential construction. The Position

We are seeking a motivated Quantity Surveyor with 2-5 years of experience, ideally in residential construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring cost control, financial reporting, and managing budgets on large-scale projects, working closely with the project management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Key contact for major project tendering
  • Scoping of projects
  • Measurement of builder trades, P&G and margin
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analysis to support project decision-making.
  • Administer contracts, including managing variations and progress claims.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Provide regular financial updates and reports.
  • Post tender client negotiations

Key Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor,
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Knowledge of construction contracts and relevant New Zealand legislation.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Must have the right to work in New Zealand.
