About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Estimator with a background in gas boilers to join our client's team in New Zealand. In this role, you will be pivotal in analysing project requirements, preparing accurate cost estimates, and ensuring competitive pricing for HVAC/mechanical installation services, particularly focusing on boiler systems.

Responsibilities:

• Analyse project specifications to develop accurate cost estimates, focusing on boiler installations and maintenance.
• Prepare quotations, bids, and tenders within client deadlines.
• Facilitate Supplier and Sub-contractor enquiries, scrutinize quotations, and support selection processes.
• Produce bills of quantities, schedules of work, and contractors' proposal documents to support bids.
• Conduct value engineering processes to meet client budgetary requirements.
• Assist in developing the procurement program and prepare cash flow forecasts.
• Liaise with clients, Sub-contractors, Suppliers, and Operational Offices to establish project specifications and manage project risks.
• Attend and contribute to meetings, ensuring contract documentation accuracy and comprehensive reporting.

About you:

• Proven experience as an Estimator in HVAC/mechanical installation, with a demonstrable background in boiler systems is preferred.
• Understanding of boiler systems, components, and associated equipment.
• Proficiency in estimating software and tools specific to boiler systems.
• Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration and client interactions.
