An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Account Manager to join a well-established company based in the Wellington.

As our Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for managing relationships with existing clients whilst driving new business opportunities. You will balance the roles of nurturing long-term partnerships, providing excellent customer service, and identifying new revenue streams. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, results-driven professional with a blend of relationship management and sales expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with clients and understand their needs and ensure successful delivery of solutions
  • Provide feedback and reporting.
  • Track compliance requirements, records, and assets, ensuring 100% compliance with team collaboration.
  • Identify growth opportunities within existing and new client accounts, leveraging product/service knowledge.
  • Manage and nurture client relationships as the main point of contact, ensuring expectations align with contract terms.
  • Drive business development with existing and new clients and identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling.
  • Review account performance regularly, address client concerns, and present tailored proposals to strengthen strategic relationships.
  • Identify and target potential clients within the industry sector through market research, networking, and cold calling.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to acquire new customers, including tailored presentations and proposals.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 3+ years of account management or service company experience; proficient in PPM/Job Management software (e.g., Simpro, Uptick).
  • Preferably you will have account management/sales experience within the following: building, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire and security.
  • You will have excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, client-focused, with the ability to work independently and travel for client meetings or industry events as needed across the Wellington Region.
